They do and this is the problem, we don't have enough jobs for all of them and our citizens too. Shouldn't the citizens of this country get the jobs first. Especially if they are coming illegally.

Arthur;
The reason the majority of Mexicans that come here to the USA, illegally don't get ahead in life is because illegally means in violation of the laws, they are not supposed to be here, for the law they don't exist because there is no records of them being here in the USA. The other reason is they are uneducated, with out school, extremely poor, etc. Because of their conditions they can't go to school here in the states, just their children could go to school but with their illegal condition in the long run their children will also have problems with the law. I think that the reason of their condition is their corrupted government that don't do nothing for their citizens. I don't think is the Americans obligation to take these people from Mexico or the world and give them every thing that they need. Do you know how much money the USA is sending to all of these countries, billions and billions. There is a different between poor and extremely poor. Mexico have extremely poor citizen but their county is rich,,,,...

Europeans do not emigrate any more to the USA, because Euro is a more powerful currency, so If Mexicans can have an equal life standard, than the South West , USA... were many other Mexicans earn in Dollars, then Immigration will decrease, cos the reason of most Immigrants to Emigrate from their countries is the Money, Gold or Economy, like in the past eras, Europeans emigrate for the Gold rush and El Dorado.

Because of the fact that they are here illegally. They can't get a divers license,open a bank account,buy a house,or buy a car. they can't have really good paying jobs because they don't have the proper documents to get a good job.
When they work they get paid under the table ( usually in cash, where they don't have to report the taxes). However most consider coming here because it does provide them with a oppertunity for a better life, not only for them but for there familes. Usually they try to send money home to help family members who have not come over. They do tend to think this is a better life, they get paid more here and usually they can find work easily.
PS, Alot of them do raise families here, and lead normal average lifes. They may not be rich in the since they have money to blow, but they make enough to support there families and have a few nice things.

Is just amazing how people can avoid other´s reality...You are seeing results from the surface because seems to me you never got in touch with real poverty..However dear, let me explain you why immigrants can´t get a decent (not better) life in the US.Simply because US don´t give them the chance to succeed professionaly but they do give them a chance to work for less money and do the dirty job..´´better life´´ means much more than you think, sending some money to help the people you love might give you all strenght to keep on facing discrimination and believe me, they dont feel nice being the scum of society...Most mexicans cannot enter US legally ,thats why all these regulations are set, so millions of them as you suggested wont even be able to cross the frontier....

Times are tough all over...but the only way to really make em better is to dig in where you're at, and try and make improvements. I think one obstacle to Mexico's progress is I heard there's some kind of thing where there's restrictions on citizens owning property...haven't researched it, though, don't know if it's on the up-and-up or just more rhetoric...

They don't want a better life here in this country.They want this country to provide them a better life in whatever country they came from.They work here ,most don't pay any taxes but sales taxes,the send 90% of their income back to their home country.They live here in squailed conditions with 15 or more sharing the same small apartment or house.No its not in this country ,that they want a better life......Its in their own home country they want that better life,provided by being in the USA illegally.

I believe in the history books it's referred to as "The American Dream."
Some people accept their fate and choose to live in their dreary, dismal circumstances. Those with the dream of a better life and the courage to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to make that dream a reality risk their lives to come here in pursuit of that dream.
If you were poor and saw a way out what would you do?

Most of the ones that are here are only here through being an illegal alien in the first place, and being granted Amnesty by Reagan!
The rest are waiting by the door salivating with their tongues wagging for the Next Amnesty
