Don't know about the year; but I'll predict that it will happen one day after Christianity is established as the official state religion.
Because you know, there are thousands of different Christian churches and only one can be the official one -- which means that all the others will be declared illegal.

Both Rhode Island, and Philadelphia owe their early growth to their religious tolerance. There are isntances of Baptists being jailed in Boston, amongst other places, dureing that period of history.
I'll also point out that until the early twentieth century, non-Christians were prohibited from running for public office in Mass, amongst other states.
For those who pay attention to such things, the odds-on favorite for becoming the official religion of the United States is Noachide, not Christianity.

Why would anyone be jailed for attending a Christian church; that's stupid.
People telling zealous Christians to mind their own business does not equate to oppression.
Your question is fallacious, at best.

I do not believe this will happen as long as our tradition of separating church and state is upheld, and the concept that all people receive equal protection under the law.

Never happen. If anything, it is much more likely that some Christians want to outlaw any other faith to be practiced here.
