ok, so my mom got a black eye because she was carrying down a box, and it fell on her head, and she got a couple of big cuts on her forehead and a giant black eye. the black eye is so bad, that theres like a 1inch bump of it. when she first got it, we could barely see her eye. she went to the doctor, and they told her that there wasnt anything wrong with it. so, my question is, how can you heal a black eye fast

I had a black eye probably worse than that in 5th grade (6 yrs ago). It was about an inch off my face too, and went above my eyebrow and under my cheek bone. I couldn't see for a couple of hours, out of either of my eyes. Thought I had went blind. It was literally black and purple. It went away in like two months without doing anything to it. I do have scars and whatnot from not doing anything.

So I don't know...high protein meats and ice maybe? That's what I've heard. Otherwise, just wait for it to go away. It's not the end of the world...unless she's like...a model or something. Which I doubt...*shrug*

It's like any bruise. Ice would have been a good idea in the beginning.

Here's from MayoClinic:
If your skin isn't broken, you don't need a bandage. You can, however, enhance healing with these simple techniques:

Elevate the injured area.
Apply ice or a cold pack for 30 to 60 minutes at a time for a day or two after the injury.
Consider acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) for pain relief.

Ok, I havent tried this yet, but read that if you soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and put it over the bruised area for an hour it really speeds the healing. do this a few times and maybe hold it on with a bandaid or something being careful not to get it in the eye. it suppose to help with the bruising. let me know if it works. Oh, another thing i heard is honey, if you rub honey around the swollen part it suppose to help with the swelling too

go to a healthfood store and get homeopathic remedy.
do 3 or 4 every hour for a couple of doses then 2 or 3 every few hours. RIGHT AFTER THE INJURY.
now that it's been overnight , i don't know the dosage. ask at the store.
