I must say that SOME Christians and and SOME Muslims are insane. Not all of them are insane. I am a Muslim (Ahmadi Muslim [A sect of Islam]), and I have to agree that those Islamic extremists are are INSANE!. Yes they might be terrorists, but I also have to ask the question: what is terrorism?...Do you ever turn on the news and hear that a Christian has commited an act of terrorism?...no...But!..what about all the christians that are out there, walking in to school and killing innocent kids, or walking into another school and shooting a girl in the head?...Is that not the same as cutting somebody's head off?...There are many more incidents like these that you really have to think about.

Think about all these questions, and then ask if we can really agree that both Christians and Muslims are insane....

Oh!..and by the way...im not hating on Chrisitains, neither am i hating on Muslims...We all have good people among us

All right, well, I think that your question is a bit loaded and could have been worded better, but for the sake of all the other idiots who answered this question, I feel I have to respond.

Now, of course, not *all* Christians and Muslims are totally insane. Some are just stubborn and unwilling to listen to reason.

That being said, there is nothing that makes Christians any better than Muslims. In fact, Christians and Muslims are very much alike, it's just that Muslims are six or seven centuries behind. Think about it: both religions began based upon one man saying he had a connection to God (Jesus was his son and Muhammad was a prophet) and by denying the assertions of those who believed in the same God (Christians rejected the Jews, Muslims rejected the Jews and the Christians, but it's all the same god). Nowadays, Muslims are going crazy trying to spread their religion and kill the infidels (a generalization, I know). But we have to admit that they're not rational. But hundreds of years ago, were Christians not doing the same thing? Hasn't anyone ever heard of the inquisition, where women were killed if one person accused them of being a witch and were people were tortured in the most gruesome of ways until they admitted -- usually falsely -- that they rejected Christianity and/or worshipped another god? And seeing as how Islam didn't begin until hundreds of years after Christianity, it seems that it's progressing at about the same rate.

That being pointed out, there are certainly things about Christians that are completely irrational, even today. Perhaps they aren't going around killing people with bombs strapped to their back (too bad for Christians, I guess, that such an act wouldn't get them 72 virgins in heaven), but they are killing people nonetheless.

No, you say? What about all those missionaries that go to Africa? They teach the natives about Christianity and then tell them it's wrong, it's a *sin* to use condoms, when condoms would help prevent the terrible outbreak of AIDS which kills so many people and leaves so many orphans in its wake. How about the women who would die if Christians managed to make all abortion illegal? What about all the people who will die because of the laws against and limits on stem cell research? And, this is one of my favorites, outside of the African one -- what about the claim of one Christian who works at the Centers for Disease Control that he would actually oppose a vaccine for HIV because it would encourage young people to have sex before marriage? Condeming millions of people to die because of a few words in a book written thousands of years ago. If that's not insane, I don't know what is.

Nice ike... well said

Well if you look into those ppl who r die hard fan of thier own religion, they would definitly protect their so called "LORD" by doing extremly anything. (We have lots of proof).. NOw, this so called religious war has become more of a political than the way it was started long time ago.. The rage which started all this is not because of them becoming insane but they becoming paranoid toward each other for the love of em' self and relating to their self is the EGO and pride... it hurts more in the pride than any physical pains. I think everybody has that and the difference being who is able to take actions.. and you know who takes em' the extremists.. its regardless to any religion..

cheers

properly, you're entitled on your opinion. besides the indisputable fact that, whilst an intensive Christian blows up an abortion hospital or shoots a physician who aspects abortions, he's doing so easily by way of fact the hospital and the well being care expert disagree with him. the novel Christian thinks he's doing God's paintings. properly, so do the novel Muslims. comparing the strikes of radical Muslims and those of radical Christians is very honest. the two are appearing egregious deeds interior the call of their particular faith. the place's the version?

Sure.

You might legitimately describe "faith" itself as a form of insanity.

Yeah, we have certain muslim fundies flying planes into buildings - it's pretty easy for western christians to see that that qualifies as insanity. Yet they do it because they've been led to believe - because they have "faith" - in the authority of a particular book, and a particular interpretation thereof.

I hope we can all admit that the bible has been similarly employed throughout history as an engine of war and bloodshed, oppression and intolerance. I'll agree that most christians in America in the 21st century aren't prepared to commit acts of mass murder in the name of their religion. The fundies here are content to hobble science, persecute gay people, and elect George W. Bush on the authority of a particular interpretation of a particular book. So there are degrees of insanity...lol.

Islam comes after Christianity, if Christianity is so perfect, God needs not descend Islam as the final religion which consists
of 6,666 commandments. Tell me who is insane.

"All"? "Both"? "Totally"? If I've told you once, I've told you a BILLION times, please stop exaggerating!

Now that we've cleared that up, I can say that you'll have to settle for almost all of you agreeing that one or both of the groups that call themselves Christians and Muslims are somewhat, or perhaps mostly, insane.

Where are you going with that?
