Sadly people dont use common cense Mormonism is a nickname of sorts the name of the church is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. i mean christ is right there in the noame of the church. Not just in the name of the church but its His church! Seems to me that would answer the whole are we christian thing.

Having previously lived in Happy Valley (if your Mormon you know what I am tlaking about) i would say the athe taint in the memory of polygymy, the fact that it stole from the masons, the fact that the only witnesses to Smiths 'tablets' later were disavowed and discredited him, mormans are cliquish, the fact that the original stop at Salt Lake was supposed to be the ocean and all of a sudden it was the ordained place, the fact the Smith was a murderer before he left the east and many other quirks in the religion that differ from the social norm all make Mormanism unpopular (oh did I mention I didnt want the missionary at my house the first 10 times and I dont want him now, but he still keeps coming?).

Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses both worship a different Jesus than the Jesus of the Bible.
Both say Jesus is a 'created being', not THE God incarnate.
Both cite as their authority for this their privately interpreted sources, claiming that 'God's people lost the message'.
If God IS God, how can His message possibly be lost? He created the universe in six literal days, He preserved the nation of Israel for 1500 or so years before Christ, and brought them back together as a nation from the corners of the earth nearly 2000 years after Christ, and He can't preserve a simple message?
Somebody has to be wrong here, and from the most ancient and reliable sources, it appears to be the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Because it was revealed (supposedly) to one individual and not all mankind, by an angel no one has ever heard of and given to Smith on precious metal tablets. Where are the tablets now. Where is Joseph Smith now. Jesus is alive, Smith is dead. Mormonism is a cult as are the Jehovah's Witness.

Because of their belief system. They believe many things that are not part of mainstream "Christianity". Don't get insulted by it though. I'm a Jehovah's Witness, and people say we're not Christians because we don't believe in the Trinity. But the thing is, we do believe in Jesus, and don't want to be lumped in with Christendom anyways.

Because they made their own book. In Christianity, there are only two of them: the old testament and the new. It's almost like making up your own religion based on another one. In fact, I think that's what it is.

Because the fact that they allow multiple marriages makes Christianity look bad. Even worse than it already does anyway.

Mormons are cultists, and generally terrible, self-absobed people, treacherous to those who believe differently. I propose we put a bounty on them...say $20 an ear?
