WHAT......he gives you £40 a week...omg...and he's on £6/700 a week...you need to tell him that he has to at least give you £100 a week.....you have a child by him, your benefits money will get you no-where and we all know that most of it goes on nappies, (if your child is still in nappies)....baby food, bills....AND food for yourself...tell that man of yours to stop being a tight wad...he needs to put his hand in his pocket and provide more...it don't matter if you live 45 miles from him, you are taking care of his child...£100 will get you further and make things easier for you ...believe me kids are expensive...i raised 3 on my own and before i could get a job i was on benefits...it was a real a real struggle...have words with him

kick him into touch petal, hes a waste of space time and energy, i have been there and done that with an ex, he used to give me only £10.00 a wk, whilst he was earning upto £1000.00 a wk and i was only earning £150.00 a wk, and i had 2 young children 1 of which was his own daughter, and my son from a previous relationship (though i wasnt expecting him to support my son) just to support his daugher, i had enough of him in the end being a tight fisted swine to put it mildly, and i ended up kicking him out just after the birth of our 2nd daughter. and i have never looked back, even now he gets away with only paying £10.00 a wk, support through the csa, so plz either speak to him bluntly, and tell him you cant carry on with the money he gives you or just leave him, hes not orth worrying about, good luck petal.

You should be asking for atleast 60 pound a week to cover the food , bills ie rent, gas and electric, clothes for the child (as they are forever growing) and food and tell him its not cheap to keep a child on any less

Is it his son ? If it is then he should be paying you more but if it isn,t he is actually being quite kind to you and your son. You best be carefull though because IF you are getting benefits you should be declaring it as income if you are not you could be done and your benefits could be stopped.

He doesnt live with you so he doesnt have to give you anything, stop moaning and be grateful,if the benefits agency knew you were getting help from him it could be seen as undeclared earnings.

Depends whether or not it is his son, too. If so, he's tight. If not, I don't see why he needs to give you anything. Sorry to be mean.
