My computer doesn't download pdf, though I've downloaded Acrobat. It has these arrow thingys. Why is that?

Download has nothing to do with Acrobat or any other type of files.
In Windows XP (and later), download is disallowed in order to protect you from viruses. You have to enable attachments download.
