No, you dont' have to give the gifts back. The credit cards, yes. Breaking up is moving on, not undoing what has already been done.

Gifts are gifts and you're under no obligation to return gifts. Give the credit cards back - the continued use of a credit card after a breakup most likely will not be consider a gift if you should end up in Court.

I hope you have not been using those credit cards return them immediately, as for the gifts, I think if you broke up with him then you must offer them back, If he broke up with you, again ask him, he did buy them for you so he may tell you to keep them. The only gifts that you do not need to return are special time gifts, your birthday, Christmas, where gifts were exchanged. hope this helps

Keep the gifts, trash the C.C.'s and avoid the BF. Buying gifts is part of the dating experience. Giving out credit cards is crazy. Avoid the crazy!

When someone gives you a gift, they want you to have it and not return it. You should definetly give back the credit cards but keep the gifts.

I believe that you need to return the credit cards to him. As far as the gifts, presumably they were for birthdays, etc. so I think you are safe to keep them. As a courtesy, you might ask him if there are any of the gifts that he would like returned.

No a gift is a gift, you can keep those, but you have to return his credit cards and if you purchased anything on his cards, you need to pay him for those.
