I would question the sincerity of any atheist who claims their lack of religion to *be* a religion. It is a total lack of religion and belief that makes a person an atheist.

I don't think any athiest does believe it to be a religion - what a strange concept. The whole point of not having a faith in a god is that, well - you don't have faith.
I've just re-read your previous question. When I originally answered it, I just skipped over the "religion" bit, because I thought "No, he wouldn't be that daft. It must be an error".

I honestly don't see how any atheist could consider being atheist as a religion.
Most atheist don't pray, worship, have faith, gather in groups, or share any beliefs with each other.
Atheism is not a religion.

What ever faith they have couldn't be consider as a religion. Atheist only believe what they see. Maybe it is Black Magic
that will convince them to believe.

Atheism is a religion or philosophy in the same way theism is..
Atheism declares there is not a god
Theism declares there is a god
Almost Identical, like a left and right hand
Unless the so-called atheists are actually agnostics which is another matter, can you spell AGNOSTIC bob?

Well, how could what we believe be called a religion? We believe in nothing from above. Religion requires faith and we get none from nothing.

To not believe in something (like God or religion) does not put one in a category of belief. People don't believe in non-leprechauns or non-unicorns. Are you a non-unicornist? There are an infinite set of things that do not exist, there is only a finite set of things that do; therefore, you can only have faith in something existing not in something not existing.

In my opinion, atheists have no faith, but within themselves. They don't believe in God, good or evil. They are a self centered mob of unbelievers in anything, except if the dog is wet, it is raining.

Atheists do not believe God exists, but they only believe by faith since they have no proof. That means their belief is their religion, a faith-based belief.
And since they can't prove it, but constantly complain that we can't prove God exists, then that makes atheists a bunch of hypocrites!

Imagine it like this.
You have ten people in a room. Nine of them play different sports; one plays no sports. The other nine are talking about golf and baseball and soccer and curling, and then they turn to the guy who plays no sports. "What do you play?" they ask him. "Nothing", he says. "I enjoy watching you play your sports, and I'm interested in who's doing well and past players, but I don't play myself."
Now, are these nine people going to try and tell this guy that dodging traffic on his daily commute is a sport? Hopefully not. Are they going to try and convince him to each play their sport? Maybe, but they'll probably ask once and dismiss it. They'd likely appreciate his interest and be willing to talk with him about it.
