Hate Boy - I think servicemen/women who have been shot at ARE the ones who can be objective. Certainly not you. Your name is appropiate.

JohnWayne - I'm not trying to sway either way. I want vet's opinions. Not yours and certainly not idiotic answers like Hateboy.

Like someone who's been shot at can be objective about the situation. They'll have to be fanatic one way or the other.

Yes my son was in the first Iraq war and has done two tours in Iraq this time. ( and is trying to go back for a third time)

He says that alot of great things are being done, and that the local people love us. We are building schools, hospitals, roads sewer systems and so much more.

Also that before this last big terror move ( done to help americans vote democrat since they want those soft on terror to be in power so they can win)

But that if you listed on one page all the people killed in the US every day, the list is much larger than those killed in Iraq

Sadly what they wanted was to fight a real war like in WWII not be police

Well we are here(I'm still here) for a noble cause. But our effort is no longer apreciated by the people of Iraq. the only thing is that we cant leave now, becouse our mission is not yet completed

I have talked to many. I have family and Friends over there. Some Fathers and sons there at the same time.

They all state the same thing. We went in For the right reasons and should stay because we are doing a great job. They are shock at how much the press lies.

How do you KNOW that the people that answer this question will actually be vets from Iraq and not the anti war wimps and the turncoats that ran to Canada, or even our terrorist enemies? I do not believe you want to know if they are who you requested but you are on a fishing expedition for negative Iraq answers.

Yes... it is a noble cause...

And, despite the negative press... I have talked to many soldiers who have come back from Iraq who say that the people are grateful and happy that we are there.
