You shouldn't have a problem. Reboiling soft water is ok. Drinking the water is ok, unless the water is dissolving some nasty ingredient in the pot. In that case, the concentration of the 'bad' ingredient will increase over time unless you toss the water remaining in the pot each time you boil some. Keep in mind that soft water is quite corrosive. I would use a glass or ceramic lined pot to eliminate any possibility of corrosion and contamination.

Reboiling Water

Re boiled, as in boiled, and reboiled? Or do you just mean to take tap water and boil it for safety sake? I have been in a city when there was a problem with contamination. We were all alerted to boil the water to kill bacteria making it safe to drink. Pat is right in that the complete the 10 minute boiling process, does concentrate chemicals, but when you have no alternative, for a short while, this is ok. Also, when the water that has been boiled and is covered and cooled, I poured it into a sealable container through a paper coffee filter to strain off the particulate that happens when the minerals in the water solidify and sink to bottom of pot. The boiling also causes the remaining chlorine, if there is any, to burn off. There is no reason unless there is chemical contamination for boiled water to cause cancer.

It depends on the source. Reboiling water may concentrate any lead that may be in it and make you quite sick.

Sometimes. It all depends were the water has come from. If it comes from the sink I think that it is safe. But thats a question you should ask a science teascher or somethingg to that affect. Good luck.

ah, not sure where you're going with this, but if you're worried about microwaved water, it's perfectly safe. Check out snopes article on the effect of microwave boiled water on plants... http://www.snopes.com/science/microwave/plants.asp

It's safe, but it will taste stale. Yes, water can go stale. That's why water bottles have expiration dates. ;-)
