Abstract concepts are totally natural. It is something humans are very good at. That is why we invent things, like flint tools, aeroplanes or supernatural beings.

Logic and rationale the tools of a modern man always do not work. Example- A man who had no bad habits whatsoever and very disciplined gets cancer which is a terminal disease if not discovered early. He is dying since no treatment works. What do you do in this case. Logic and reason has failed. Why only he? Now here human mind needs some higher power to lean on. We can derive infinite strength from our belief if only you have full faith and do not question. In such situations when things are totally beyond your control you need divine help. Some times miraculously things happen. After that you become a staunch believer. I am describing situations based on experience. I leave the conclusions to you.

We r part of the concrete real world. When we get frustrated we can not resort 2 a concrete thing which is very much like us. So we turn 2 an abstract entity, the God. The God, the almighty gives us strength and confidence and enables us 2 live with less anxiety and uncertainty. That is why, beleiving in God is natural.

Of course it's in our nature. We were created in God's image before the human race fell from grace. Every society and culture, no matter how primitive -- currently or ancients -- has gods they worship. What we need to be taught is the truth about Whom to worship. We need to be taught about God and Who He is, not about the fact that a "higher power" exists. Not everyone within a culture or society has the same understanding of God or a god, true. I find it funny that people spend such a great amount of time and energy trying to deny His existence. Nobody puts that much energy and time into denying the existence of something that really isn't there.

I too am an athiest and locate it puzzling to comprehend why lots of belive in something that there is not any evidence of. My overriding feeling is that it began out with people in efficient positions instilling 'the priority of god' in others to get them to stick to a undeniable set of policies. i haven't studied the bible, nor do I have been given to church so confess that i'm no longer knowledgable in this subject. possibly i'm slightly shallow yet i in my view don't get it. As for persons believing in God merely in case they might desire to pass to hell whilst they die... all of it seems slightly stupid to me extremely. Chrisianity and different religions have some outstanding morals yet lots of that's overshadowed by way of the mass suffering of wars which all seem to stem from religious concept.

We are born with a spiritual need inside us. That is why every ancient civilization believed in the divine in one form or another. So yes, believing in God is natural.

Religion sprung from somewhere. In the far past, all religions were nature based and based on what people saw in nature. So as you observe and think, so you abscribe certain things to be mystical to explain what you do not know.
