Aloe Vera is supposed to be a healing cream.
Go to the ointment ailse and look for anti-burn relieft creams/ointments.
Stay out of the sun! Don't want any further burns. And do stay out of high winds with freezing tempertures.
And throw away that product, since you could not handle it properly.

Yinka....You need to go to the Dermatologist that gave you the 40%. You will first have to treat the burn and then maybe a fade cream if there is discoloration. If you cannot get in to see the doctor withing the next 2-3 days, I would suggest applying a lite coating of Aloe Vera Gel , if it is not a blistered burn. If you are blistered and really peeling, then apply some antibiotic ointment gently to your face. Something like Neosporin.Last, do not go out in the sun, what ever damage is done could become worse because your skin is VERY sensative right now and you need to protect it as much as possible. Good Luck!

I recommend aloe vera gel as well. If you can get the real stuff, like the actual plant, that would be even better. But health/drugstore sell great quality aloe vera gel these days. It's the best product for burn relief and healing. The aloe will repair the damage, but you may have some scarring, so apply neosporin on top for pain relief and scar repair as well. If your face feels puffy/red, take an ibuprophen to take down the swelling.

40% lactic acid is pretty strong, but im not sure how deep the burns are. if you have scarring, it's likely pretty bad. none of the home remedies are likely to work, as they are for complexion/acne/wrinkling issues. a dermatologist would know exactly what to do. he will likely use laser treatments or another acid solution to burn down the damaged skin, then issue a moisturizing treatment. best of luck to you.

The method I found best for me was to take a warm bath. Ice(for swelling), rub the best muscle cream I have then wrap it up. I always feel better the next day. I've dealt with A LOT of these

use cocoa butter and strait vitamin c like the vitamin c pills you get at the store just pop a little hole in the pill and the gooey stuff inside is straight v-c. I used both when I was pregnant and it helped with stretch marks and with any kind of scaring you can also use neosporin just not any where near your eyes
