Mine has probably been one of the worst days of my life so far, yet i woke up in such a good mood.
Just want to know that i'm not the only one having a tough time at the moment...... Any contributions that make me smile, or feel less hard done by would be great!

Well, its not been a bad day - but its been blooming busy! Got up at 4am because my back was shouting at me. Spent two hours sitting in my armchair with a hot water bottle in the small of my back. Made a cuppa and fell asleep, so forgot to drink it. 6am my son appears and wants to play on the Nintendo. Erm .. No! LOL 7am, breakfast - the home made yoghurt hasn't thickened, but it tastes great all the same. Finally got that cup of tea. Chuck son in the bath first so he can play while I assemble beef stew in the slow cooker (bathroom is next door to kitchen). Have lukewarm bath accompanied by an inflatable purple whale, a water pistol and two Bionicles. Meanwhile, dog poos on kitchen floor because its raining outside and he's too much of a wuss to go outside and get wet. Get out of bath, clean up poo, shout at dog. Chase son upstairs to get dressed. Iron son's choice of clothes as he's going to a birthday party after lunch. Get dressed into whatever's clean. Take dogs for quick walk in pouring rain and wonder why I bothered drying and styling my hair only ten minutes ago. Change coat to dry one, round up family and throw them in the car, drive to house of Freecycler - to arrive at 11am - who is giving away a half roll of chickenwire that I can use to line the guinea pig run. On return trip, get petrol, go to supermarket for fruit and come out £20 lighter having bought fruit and several things for Christmas. Get home, have lunch. Deliver son to birthday party for 1.30pm. Drive to ToysRUs, fight our way through bedlam and fail to agree on what to buy son for his birthday which is next week. Drive back home because hubby has forgotten his cigarettes and is now in a stress. Can't get parked, so throw hubby out and drive around the block (repeatedly) until he re-appears. Drive back to birthday party and collect son. Drive home, during which we have a HUGE discussion over mash -v- new potatoes with the stew for dinner. Make executive decision on mash. Get home, supply son with water-based drink to counteract the sugar overload. Relieve son of rest of sweeties and birthday cake, same reason as before. Make dinner (including mash). Eat dinner. Yup, its been an average day so far. *grin*

I have two boys 4 and 2, I'm about at the end of my rope. My 4 year old lodged something into my CPU now I can't retrieve anything from my disks. My 2 year just spilled everything from my fridge to the floor looking for his milk, which was at the back of the fridge. I feel terrible because I yelled at him. That's just today, yesterday was worse....

Thankfully I'm not having a bad day and hope you'll feel better soon. Can you take some time and do something for yourself? Forget the chores for a couple of hours and do something you enjoy, you deserve it.

When all else fails.... chocolate and ice cream :)

Hope the rest of the day is better for you :)
