Its called S.A.D. Seasonal affected disorder.
Yes I think most peeps are affected but in the sever cases it can lead to clinical depression. I do feel a bit blue during winter but I try to go outside for at least an hour every day. I live by the sea so I can go for a walk in natural light.
Check the link about SAD and I hope you feel better soon. Ü

Some people do, because of the lack of light. It's called SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).

They say the best thing to do is go for a walk early in the morning when the light is best. You can also sit in front of a light box for a while and this will give your brain enough light to produce the serotonin in the brain that will stave off the winter blues.

Dark mornings and early nights combined with harsh weather can make us all a little depressed. The secret is to stay active and get involved in as many activities as possible. Try walking in the snow or on beaches etc in the bracing cold. If you have the right clothing and footwear, it is an exilarating experience. Also try using Rhodiola Rosea supplement.

I like the thought of winter very much, snuggly jumpers, roaring fires, peppermint mocchas. That all brings a smile to my face.

But the reality of dark mornings and afternoons being dark before 5 o'clock, cold, wet slushy snow lingering for weeks on the roads and pavements just really brings me down.

Winter would be fine if it lasted for about a week.

I love the winter and so does my child it is his favorite season. Try to make a list of all the things you like about winter and try to get outside, bundle up and take a walk. Check into light therapy.

My brother suffers from SAD, and he gets very down at this time of year.
My depression cycles throughout the year, I don't think it is affected by the season.
It might be worth looking into buying a natural light lamp, they can help ease the symptoms of SAD

It's called Seasonal Affective Disorder. If you are really feeling it then you might want to invest in a light box, but speak to a professional first before you do in case it is something more serious.

yes but sitting inside by the radiator with a hot chocolate with whipped cream always helps, having a special someone there to share the moment with can always shake away the winter blues
