It really depends on how your body reacts to the medicine, and how good your enzymes inside your body are. It should take from 7-15 days for it to heal.

Having worked in a Dermatologist office I can give you several bits of info. First, it depends whre the scar is and if it was sutured or allowed to heal. The further away from your heart, the longer it takes for something to heal. Your legs would therefor take longer to heal than your arm. If it was sutured, Maderma MIGHT help lessen the appearance. What you need to keep in mind is that you need to protect this area from sun exposure for at least 3 mos. Alot of people think that the sun, in all it's glory, will help "dry things up" when indead it takes longer to heal. The ideal wound should be allowed to heal from the inside out, like a burn. Scabs are not good. Using an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin 8-10 times daily on a wound for 10 days will do miracles for healing. So...try Maderma, stay out of the sun.

Um, I have the same issue with scarring. I've used Scar Zone and Palmers Vitamin E scar solution. The Palmers stuff works better. I'd make sure you still get foods with vitamin e and such that would help too. Mederma is supposed to be really good, although I haven't tried it, you could go ahead and give it a try.

Try neosporin, it's proven to minimize scar damage and heal scrapes/cuts/abrasions quite well. You might wanna look for some Mederma as well, it's sold in all drugstores. I'm not sure about vitamin e, though it wouldn't hurt to apply it overtop some neosporin, I guess. HTH!

Keep doing it. Make sure it is pure Vit. E. Not that Vit. E w/ Aloe or cocoa butter. It does work! As far as how long it takes. Don't know. Don't know how big or severe your scar is. If it's an old scar it will only fade it. Not remove it.
