My friend is selling me a 1995 Nissan Maxima for 2,500. The problem is the mileage on the car is high close to around 180,000 miles on it. Do u think i should get this car?

No! No! No! It is quite a low-quality car to begin with. Disposables. The average mileage on the thing is 95,000. Your "freind" is trying to sell you a car with 85,000 miles more than the NATIONAL AVERAGE. In my area, one in excellent condition would run for about $2,000.

You did not describe the car, the exact model or the condition, or the friend at all. So it's difficult to say.
If the friend is one that takes good care of the car and won't sell a lemon to you, and the car is in great shape, then yes. Buy it! I would rather buy a high mileage car from someone I trust rather than a lower mileage car from a stranger.

Friends/cars/money a bad combination. If the car breaks down in a week he would say that he never had aproblem before.
Anyway 2500 for a 11 year old car is very expensive.

Don`t buy from a friend. It might not stay friendly if car goes bad.
