They never do. Kidding. Your lab needs more excersize. I bought mine a treadmill. I am not kidding. She loves the thing, wont let me use it. She wants to be on it all day long I have to keep her off it. she does stay still now though.

Take your Lab for a walk, play with it. I have a Lab also and she is about 5 yrs. old. She has alot of energy and I am 65 yrs. old, it is tough to keep up with her, sometimes. I don't know how old your Lab is, but they do slow down eventually. My dog is a wonderful friend and believe or not she still has alot of puppy in her, but she will slow down eventually. They do get tired, so hang in there!

Labs are the greatest dogs but they do have lots of energy. If my Lab gets enough exercise he is the greatest dog but if the exercise is lacking he then has too much pent up energy and will pace or cause trouble.

Labs are great dogs, they do have some excess energy that will get better as they get older. They are hunters, their noses are super sensitive and they are constantly picking up scents. Training classes are a must, they teach you and you dog how to channel some of that energy. Good luck.

Friendly Hello, Labs are extremely energetic. It will take time and patience and age on your lab to quiet down. I would strongly suggest taking obedience classes with him. This should help. Blessings, Kelly

Dogs are fidgety - FACT. My great dane fidgets til the cows come home until she can get comfy in her spot. There's nothing wrong, he just likes to be comfortable. It's like yourself in bed at night, tossing and turning. All dogs do it, so don't fret.

In addition to the obedience class mentioned above, it would be very helpful if you increased his daily exercise. A daily 30 minute jog would really help.
