Islam and Peace- Another Example
The Voice of the Martyrs - News
The Voice of the Martyrs
On October 2nd at 2:30 p.m., Lorans Wageah Emeel, a 15-year-old Christian girl, was kidnapped by Muslims in the Egyptian city of El Mahala Al Kobra, about 60 miles north of Cairo. The incident was publicized by El Tareek, the only Arabic Christian newspaper in the Middle East. It is reported that the abductors are trying to force Lorans, a student of Saida Nafesa High School in El Mahalla Al Kobra, to deny Christ and accept Islam.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. Cairo time, on October 3rd, the Emeel family gathered around the El Mahala Al Kobra police station, pleading with the officers to return Lorans to them. Her parents accused a Muslim man of kidnapping their daughter at 2:30 in the afternoon and filed a police report at the station.
Under the cover of night at 10:00 on October 3rd, kidnapped Christian teenager, Lorans, managed to escape from her Muslim captors, who drugged and threatened to rape her if she refused Islam, before abducting her from a public bus, according to Compass Direct. While the terrorists were taking a break from a Ramadan fast, Lorans broke out of her detention room located in Helwan, a suburb just south of Cairo. It is also reported that Lorans’ father received the following text messages during the abduction: “The girl is not accepting easily, but she will embrace Islam for sure,” and “Take the rest of your daughters and leave the city, or you will lose them one by one.” Prior to reuniting with her family, State Security Investigation officials told Lorans that if she did not deny the kidnapping, she would never see her parents again.
The kidnapping of Christian teenage girls in Muslim nations has reached into the thousands. Many are forced through physical violence to convert to Islam. Other girls are often lured into becoming Muslims with promises of material wealth. The Voice of the Martyrs sponsors safe houses in Islamic countries to protect Christian teenage girls who have been threatened with or have escaped from abduction. These Christian refuges are also places where young women learn job skills and receive spiritual training.

It is a good thing that Islam is a religion of peace. I would not want to see it if it were of hate.
This is more proof, if there is any needed, to show that Islam is not of the one and only true God. The God of love through His Son Jesus Christ.
There are many people in the United States that are turning to the Islam faith. This is the work of the devil himself. The devil will do anything to pull people away from true salvation of Jesus Christ.
Being politically correct is not always in our best interest. We need to say it like it is.
If Islam is trully a religion of peace, where is the peace?
I do not want the response, well these are extreme muslims. With our faith in Christ we have many, many different organizations. Yes, and some called extreme. But what we do not have is the violence, the killing, the kidnappings, the beheadings, on, and on, and on. Without regard for any human life at all. Men, Women, children, old, young, cripled, it does not matter to them.
Muslims even use human shields by putting their rockets and militia in and around homes of suvilians.
Any one that has a lick of sense can see through the peaceable religion part.
I call for all Muslims to turn to Jesus Christ and become saved through Him so that they may obtain everlasting life without having to kill themselves.
Turn to peace and love for others no matter who they might be. It is the only way.
Try it you'll like it, you'll love it!

Where did you dig that question up from??
What is Islam? It is a religion based on the Koran. The Muslims believe that the Koran is the infallible word of Allah (God) as revealed to the Prophet Mohammed by the Angel Gabriel over 13 hundred years ago! Any Muslim will tell you that Islam and the Koran is a religion of peace!
Just as a matter of interest many of the sayings of the Prophet Mohammed were actual written as he spoke them, unlike the Prophet Jesus fairy tales, which were written maybe 100 years after his death, and written by at least 30 Gospel writers, not just the 4 that were pick out as 'favorite' by the Christian church leaders !
Before you get the idea that I am an Islamic 'nutter' I am in fact an atheist, but I like to think that I have some basic facts to hand prior to debating religion !
It would do you no harm to read the Koran and try to understand this (or any other ) religion before asking questions of this nature!
What good does it do? Ferments trouble between religious groups is just about all, haven't we got enough of that now??
I'm pretty well convinced that I could pick more holes in the Christian religion than you could ever pick out of the Muslim religion, (Christianity is also a religion of peace isnt it?? Have Christians never fought and killed)??
At the end of the day what would it prove to the followers of those religions??
Nothing at all, they 'believe' !!
I know they believe in a crock of BS, so what , I dont care until they start killing each other and taking millions of others with them over their stupid beliefs!!

Islam is a religion of peace, but due to several factors, the common Islamic layman is mistaken about may aspects of the religion. Since everyone is kept illiterate, they only receive their relgious instructions from men who covet power - and only hear what they say. If they COULD read, they would discover that certain things like the doe eyed maidens waiting for them in the afterlife is not what is really written in the texts - but it SOUNDS like it when read because those are the common usages of those words.

I do not need to learn about Islam from Muslim people.your history Islamic books said enough of Muhammad.and his religion. If Muslims denied those books that means they denied the whole Islamic religion.

Go back to history, Muhammad SAW is considered as the BEST leader on the world, do track back his leadership in Medine as the 1st Islamic state... All Medines' citizens; Islams, Christians & Jews lived happily together and they could practiced their religion & beliefs freely... This tradition continues throughout history as you could see, al Andalus in Spain by Umayyad and the highest glory of Islam is during the reign of Ottomans... You could see, Muslim leaders established Janissari comprised of Muslims & non Muslims. They demolished the religious barriers and put them under one community under one great leader according to al Quran & as Sunnah... Islam is strictly not a religion of terror..

what non muslims say:
Sir George Bernard Shaw in 'The Genuine Islam' Vol 1, No.8, 1936...'I have studied him- the wonderful man and in my opinion far from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Savior of humanity'
Mahatma Ghandi, statement published in 'Young India' 1924.....'When I closed the second volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of that great life'
Thomas Carlyle in 'Heroes and Hero Worship and the Heroic in History' 1840....'The lies (Western slander) which well meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muhammad) are disgraceful to ourselves only'

Islam is indeed a religion of peace, and the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is not a Prophet of terror...
What you need is reading the Prophet's TRUE biography, and see how he was a merciful and kind prophet

I'm changing my views on Islam. I'm beginning to think it likes to portray itself as peaceful when in reality it tolerates even if it doesn't encourage violence.
