If you mean skepticism about one's belief of God, then no it's not a sin. The "7 Deadlies" are the worst kind, so this falls way short of that kind of booboo.

Really, atheism apparently doesn't offend God - he sees belief and faith as a bonus. The New Testament says that he loves you anyway and as long as you don't do naughty things, he'll bring you up to Heaven when you die. The only problem with the New Testament is that it almost completely contradicts the Old.

I am Rational Spirituality. In my system sin does not exist. Only sensible and foolish behaviour, because anyone who transgresses pays for their transgression, which is foolish.

Furthermore, because my system is entirely logical, it has no issue with scepticism, whatsoever.

If scepticism is defined as healthy doubt, for as long as there is not a proof or a sufficient persuasion about an argument, then scepticism is a healthy attitude to have. It weeds out the drivel from information of substance, and it helps to reach the Truth.

That is how I found mine.

One answerer on here said that what kind of faith is one that can't withstand some questioning? (sorry to paraphrase). I dont claim to be the expert on sin and religion... but I think that not only should faith be able to withstand skepticism, but that it is strengthened by it. Its unrealistic not to have questions. If you blindly follow something, it likely means you're weak-minded and gullible. And in the Bible, it says all you need is faith the size of a mustard seed... that leaves a lot of room for questioning.

Law imputes, strengthens sin: Rom 4:15; 5:13; 1Cor 15:56
Sin, when "it is finished", brings forth death: Jam 1:15

Forgive "them". Why "them", both of "them" vs "them"?
They "know not" what they do & say can be destructive.
What do they do that's destructive? Promote sacrifice(law).
What do they say that's destuctive? Peace & Safety in law.
Whom does it destroy in every biblical instance? "Them" all.

Seven Deadlies have THIS in common:
1. Another LAW
2. LAW of the Spirit
3. Second LAW
4. LAW of God
5. Royal LAW
6. LAW of liberty
7. Perfect LAW of liberty

Two sons of thunder moved the ten to indignation.

Law: Destructive (God our Destroyer)... hatred
Grace: Constructive (God our Saviour)... love

The will of God, to do, to receive the promise:
I will have mercy(grace) and not sacrifice(law).
And the not part is not then, not now, not ever.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Skepticism? Confused?

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Start in the book of John, then Act, Romans...Matt., Mark and Luke. Then see if you are still skeptical.

***I disagree with the gentleman below my answer. The New Testament explains the Old. 33% of the New Testament quotes the O/T. Jesus didn't come to do away with the law. Jesus came to fulfill the prophesy of the Old Testament. I encourage you to read it for yourselft and see. Don't just take my word for it.
Enjoy!

Did Jesus condemn doubting Thomas for his skepticism? Skepticism is natural and healthy. Believe nothing that doesn't conform to logic and common sense.
