yes. I feel like when I help them, I am knowing myself better and helping myself. I have a soft heart and am not that senstive, but someone could really touch my heart and stick there like glue.

That's a difficult question. In some ways, yes. I've been able to acknowledge things within myself that I need to change, and have begun working on. My questions may seem judgmental, and I get plenty of hate mail telling me so, but in truth I use my questions and the answers received as a way to learn and to grow. I would not ask a question of anyone unless it was something that applies to my own life. I've definitely gained a broader view of everyone's religions, and I can honestly say that I now understand how people can have faith. That was also my unexpected learning experience. I have found that I've become more cynical, at times judgmental, and I sometimes go on the attack. I don't know if that's because I'm here, or if it's simply human nature. I'm still examining that. I'm thrilled to see you today. I was wondering where you had been.

I have never asked a question in the religion section of Yahoo but I have answered numerous. I do feel that I have gained something from Yahoo. I have noticed that the more questions I answer the easier it is for me to discuss God. The more I answer the more proud to be a Christian I become. At the same time the more questions that I read and answer I feel that some people on her are lost and confused and I feel sorry for them.

Good morning, 6 of 10.
I don't know that I have become a "better" person for visiting R&S, but I've become more calm and peaceful. You may find that difficult to fathom with the arguing that one encounters here, but I find it to be beneficial. Rather than letting the disagreements get too me, they help to put things into perspective. What everyone is getting so emotional about is really small potatoes. The major issues, everyone seems to agree on for the most part. It's the little things that are driving the wedge deeper, and that just seems silly to me.
It's definately opened my eyes to others' beliefs and why they feel as they do, so I think I've become more accepting. And it's definately opened my eyes to how easily words can hurt, even when not intended to. So I would say I have also become more sensitive.
I don't know that I answered your question, but I tried. Good day to you.

i once played a game which, with its unfair system and rules, caused players to totally show their ugly side. people exploit the game and use tools to make the game even more unbalanced.
i think its the same here, seeing how the ignorant ones will make fun of others' beliefs and values and go off sparking even more hatred among everyone, believers against unbelievers.
Secondly, more users(literally, believers and unbelievers) are consciously or subconsciously looking for arguements to take part in, making it a more fearful place for those who truely want to learn, and those who need a helping hand(prayer, counsel, etc). they end up going back with the distorted impression of how scary and rude yahoo R&S can be.

I'm still the same because I learned long before Y/A that believers and nonbelievers will stay by their views no matter what is said.

I've become aware of a few things. The diversity of people's beliefs and the dishonesty and total lack of integrity of evangelical Christians, especially creationists. I've scraped better than them off the sole of my shoe.
