-Like if you got your bachelors degree (4 year), Is their a certain rank you would have to be to take OCS or could you take it right when you got out of school at like probably E-4/E-5?

-Or at a 2 year school getting your associates degree in something, would they promote you somewhere up in the enlistment ranks? Because if you enlist w/ an associated they start you of at like E-4 or sometihng like that..Would they promote you somewhat if you got it while aready enlisted

--Any answers to this question would be GREATLY appreciated

You don't have to go to a recruiter. Just call the army's 1-800 number.

There is no rank requirement to get into OCS. You actually don't need a 4 year degree until you make CPT. If you enlist with a degree you will automatically come in as an E-4. Any college credits are worth promotion points, which you don't need to worry about until you are ready to be an E-5, as all other promotions are automatic. The number of points you need to make E-5 depends on the job (MOS) you select. You can find out more on the Army website. Look at the Green to Gold link, which gives info about going from officer to enlisted. Don't count on having a lot of time for school once you are in the Army, you will likely be deployed. If you want to finish school, the Army offers a Student Loan Repayment Program in lieu of the GI Bill. Hope this helps.

With enlisted men I can only tell you my experience.

In the lower ranks all you have to do is wait your turn. You will be a recruit then all you have to do is put in a chit to get promoted which will be approved unless you get yourself into trouble.

Once you want to be an E-4 which for the Navy is a Petty Officer third class, you have to take a test for what ever rate (or is it rating, I never got that straight).

You get points for taking the test so even if you fail and take it again, you will be more likely to get promoted even if you do no better on the test.

And to move up each time you have to take another test.

Once you get your degree you may be able to become an Officer.

All officers have degrees.

I can speak for Air Force. A 4 yr degree will allow you to apply for OCS. In the enlisted ranks you won't be given any additional stripes, but the degree will help you gain the higher ranks. You can call a recruiter too ya know.
