First of all, I'm sorry that you had to grow up without your mother. Second, seeing as how you don't know her, you probably don't know what led her to leave. YOU did not make her leave. Many women just cannot cope with a baby. It's not fair to the child, but maybe she left because she didn't feel that she could give you her best and that might have been the best gift that she could give you. Some women just don't want children and some women have pyschological issues that make them act unusually. What's the most important is that it sounds like you have a dad that raised you and loves you. You might never find out why she left but the best thing you can do is live your life the best you can. One day I hope you get the answers you are looking for, but until then try to find some peace with yourself....good luck...

You can ask your dad to explain who your mom was to you. Ask that he do it in a mature manner and be ready to hear things that you may not be aware of. Perhaps she wasn't emotionally responsible enough to care for you at the time or had other things happening in her life. Drugs/alcohol or mental disability may be other reasons for her leaving. The important fact is that your dad stuck with you and as your name says you are Daddy's Girl and he must be very proud of you.

Sweetheart your momma may not be able to forgive herself for this even if she doesnt show it. This does not mean you have no right to be mad by no means. But ask her if you feel brave enough to. My mom never left, but she wasnt no role model either. Sometimes that is worse, and she died before I could forgive her to her face.
