always give one tablespoon per cup -- and then one for the pot.
So, if your making four cups of coffee -- put in five tablespoons.

that kind of depends on how strong you like it..,i take about a tablespoon per cup + 1 ..so if i wanne have 5 cups i take 6 spoons..
