I think that Iam falling in love with my boyfriend but the thing is he has to leave in 11 months to go to the Air Force and I really don't want to have my heart broken. He will be gone for 4 years and I am young still I am 16 and he is 18, but I think that the both of us are falling in love. I don't know what to do, I don't want to break up with him, but I don't want to have my heart broken when he has to leave. Please help me somehow, I feel lost and confused, I never knew that this stuff was gonna be so hard!

poor thing! you need to tell him that, talk or write as often as possible when hes gone, and get a spa treatment and chocolate and cry it all out into your pillow!

True love can stand the test of time. It's very hard to be in love and not be able to be with that person. Couples have survived military separations. However, at 16 - do you want to sit at home for the next 4 years and wait? The next 11 months should give you a better idea of what you want to do. You can write to him and he will probably come home for visits. While he is gone, you should live your life, finish high school, enroll in college and concentrate on your studies. Just because he leaves for the Air Force doesn't mean he is leaving you forever. You can't make a decision today for the rest of your life.

You should share this with him, chances are he feels the same and he is going to feel just as much pain as you because you are in the same situation. He may also need you now more than ever because of where he is going its best to be honest with how you feel. You still have 11 months ahead of you, that is a long time although it may not seem as such. Be friends first he will need you, especially with where he is going. Good Luck n GOD BLESS!

Tell him about your felling, because he will live away 4 years. Its too long period. May be during this time he find some one else, then you missed him. I think its batter you told him your felling 1st. with out any delay. Have a good luck, Take care bye.
