Go to your school office and explain the situation. Let them know that she has well.... an odor to her that is unfair for you to be smeeling. Suggest that the school check into it and if she could be taught to clean herself properly. Just do not treat her mean. LL.

Good for you for being so considerate. But you're not doing her any favors by not saying anything, and surely someone else must have noticed this odor - why hasn't anyone done anything before now? You can't really go around asking other people if they've noticed it - because if they haven't, you will be bringing it to their attention. But that's a lo-o-o-o-ong time. Go to the office and talk to someone in charge - better if there's a school nurse.
Something's out of whack here - "she's constipated and doesn't like to sleep?" She really needs any help you can get for her. Good luck

Whatever you do, don't handle this yourself by speaking to the girl. Let any suggestions come from school officials. What the girl says about herself may or may not be true. If she has physical, mental and/or health issues, these need to be addressed but not by you.

I think the best way to handle this is to speak privately to your teacher. Make sure you express your concern and relate to your teacher what the girl has told you about herself, whether or not it's true. Ask to be moved to another seat, if possible. If anyone else is aware of the odor, they need to be there with you to corroborate your complaints. It may take time to resolve this but you can always check with your teacher on what progress has been made. Good luck to you and to this poor girl.

You should speak with your teacher and tell her how offensive the odor is. She will probably either speak with the girl or send her to the school nurse or the deans office and they can talk with her. If they don't speak with her then you should go to the nurse and speak with her. If none of these things work then you and some other girls should in a very friendly manner have a talk with her. Don't giggle or make fun of her just explain that she needs to take care of herself and explain how. I doubt that it will come to that because I really think that the people in the office will handle it.

She could be having encopresis. This is a psychological disorder where the person avoids defaecating and the hard faeces accumulate. The liquid part of faeces keeps trickling out, causing an odor. As she has a problem sleeping, this is also a psychological problem. Someone, the school nurse or a teacher should advise her mother to take her to a child psychiatrist.

I think you should talk to her. Sometimes people get so used to a smell that they can't smell it, and believe no one else does either. Don't be rude, and don't go telling everybody else that you said something to her. Things are probably rough enough for her. Tell her that it's noticable and that you've heard other people complain about it. If you try to make it sound like you're giving friendly advice, instead of being judgemental or rude, she might listen.
