The only thing that is gained is an extra sex partner, another added to the list. Everything gained in cheating is what you don't need gained. It is NEVER good for ANY reason.

Personally i find the fact of the need to lie about it and the sneaking around worse than the actual act lets face it we all or almost all have slept with more than one person in our lives and does that stop us from entering into a relationship no what the problem with cheating is the lie the abuse of trust not the actual act its the betrayal

for the individual - there is sex and all the goodies that go with it to be gained! Sweet!
But for the traditional relationship there is nothing to be gained that i can see but suffering and seperation.
