Would Africans be more attracted to natural styles, instead of relaxed styles that copy European hair fashion?

I think it would be a whole lot more like the 60s with natural hair dos. Maybe some traditional African styles which would be neat too though.

The guys would probably still be shaving their heads and getting close crops though rather than messin' with a fro'.

And there would probably be a whole lot more weaves sold so folks could get that relaxed look.

You know it's pretty funny....in the local mall there is a new kiosk type stand that sells all sorts of weaves and hair extensions...but it's for white girls only....All sorts of pony tails and streaked hair, I mean if you're selling that stuff why not be more inclusive.

At any rate you may not want a white man's opinion but I think they all look good...the natural do's or just the chemical enduced relaxed look. Whatever it is that makes the woman happy.

I think everything has its own time. Had it not been for relaxers I believe some of us would still be doing braids (with our natural hair of course). And others would still do the Madam C.J. Walker thing with the hot comb. The old style waves they wore back in the days. Look at the movie Malcolm X, Devil with the blue dress on. Like one guy said, "We are very resourceful people."

Great question!!!! I definitely think that natural styles would be the norm. Then we would see black ppl with longer healthier hair because they aren't burning up with chemicals. Oh yeah and less weaves!!!

Afro and braids which are definitely in today just like 20 years ago. We are very resourceful and creative we would have found something that worked in our hair to make it straight.
