a few weeks ago someone that i was very much in love with, contacted me after 11 years, we talked everyday and i invited him to come and spend the weekend with me. well we had a wonderful time. {if ya know what i mean} he went back home and i can now count on one hand how many times we have spoken.so, last night i wrote him a nasty e-mail saying that, and that he made me feel used. well after sending him this e-mail i checked on my yahoo im and found out that he has tried talking to me, but i was not on at the time. so this morning i checked my e-mail and he is very upset with me and said that maybe the next time we talk i will be in a better mood. so what do i say to him now? i feel offel that i wrote that, but at the same time it is true that we have only spoken a couple times since he left. i dont expect any kind of commit from him, but i do feel that we should still be able to talk. like we did before he came here.

You can't talk with your foot in your mouth. Take it out and talk to him. What do you have to lose? You will probably lose him if you don't. What is the worst that can happen if you tell him the truth? What is the worst that can happen if you ignore him and never talk to him again?
Good luck

Well, I guess you could start by apologizing for saying what you said and for getting mad at him for the wrong reasons. Then, the both of you can discuss and talk about what exactly happened.

Just explain exactly how you have here, I'm sure he'll understand. He obviously likes you or he wouldn't have bothered getting in contact after all this time.

Be honest with the guy, tell him just what you wrote in the question. And I would apologize.
