The cakes I've baked in the past are so dry and they don't taste as good as the store. I want to make a good one? Which brand?

Try a box mix that says it has pudding in the mix and don't over bake it. Insert a knife in the middle of the cake about 10-15 minutes before it is supposed to be done. If it comes out clean it's done. If not wait 5 minutes and check it again. Dry cakes are usually overbaked. Good Luck!

Have you tried a cake mix that has pudding in the mix..?
There are also crockpot recipes for triple chocolate mess that are the moistest you'll ever get!

Here's one recipe:

Triple Chocolate Mess

1 package chocolate cake mix(any)
1 pint sour cream
1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding(any size)
1 6oz. bag chocolate chips
3/4 c. oil
4 eggs
1 c. water

Spray c.p. with non-stick spray. Mix all ingredients.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours Try not to lift the lid.

Serve with ice cream. I tried this with low fat cake mix, sour cream and fat free pudding. It turned out great! It is VERY rich, so be sure to have some ice cream in the house. A little goes a long way. Keeps in fridge for a while. Just heat and serve.

Try adding a stick of butter to your cake mix. It always makes mine more moist.
