when i was little, about up to the age of 5, i had a head full of ringlets, my hair was just CURLY. now, i am 16, and i have noticed that my hair is starting to thin. im worried that it will just completely fall out, i wash it 2-3 times a week. my hair is only about an inch under my shoulders and its wavy.

my mother always had pin straight hair and my father curly. is it possible, that with age, i could have inherited her genes and will eventually end up with her hair? i am asking this because i have noticed that my hair has gone from curly, to wavy and somewhat straighter.

what is going on ! also are there ways to make your hair grow faster. and do you know why it is falling out .

THANKS

you should lose up to 200 hairs a day in normality if you are losing more then you could have a problem.as for your hair texture, my mom's hair went to curly to straight when she had me and after menopause her hair started curling again .about every 7 years you should experience physical changes like that.as our mind and body totally recycles every 7 years....good luck...

your hair changes every 7 years, as your body matures it changes color texture and wavy curly or straight. when i was young i had pin straight hair and blond then it turned dirty blond and waves now its dark brown and curly
