Ok well I want a curly perm because my friend got one and it looked really nice. She knows how do do a perm so she said she would do one for me, I have to buy one of those curly perm boxes in Walmart. Does everything you need fro the perm come in the box, or do u need to buy extra things. And what kind of Curlers do I have to use?

Thanks, please give me some answers,
Katrina

Katrina, perms are tricky...my best advice is to get your perm done by a professional!

If you have never permed before, get a perm that is medium curly not super curly. Better to want more curls than to have a "poodle do". You will need perm rods, but I use regular plastic curlers (make sure there is no metal in them). Everything you need will be in the box but you might want to invest in a rat tail comb. This makes it easier to seperate the hair for rolling. Follow the directions carefully. Good luck.

Hi Katrina! Remember the most important thing is Everyone has different hair!!! If you have never had a perm before, PLEASE get it done by a pro! If it turns out bad.... it is to the scalp, And you have to wait a LONG TIME for that to grow out.
Please, Please find a picture of what you want and go to a salon!! Good Luck Hun.

Just my opinion, but I would not let your friend perm your hair. Just because it came out nice on her hair doesn't mean it will come out the same on yours. Is your hair the same texture as hers? if your hair is fine,it should not be done the same as course hair. Do you color your hair? If so you should not perm your hair. Did she perm her own hair?
