and I was wondering if they can eat sunflower seeds.

yes, they love them, mine adore me when i feed them this, and fruit, and bread with honey

Sure! My guys love sunflower seeds but the have a problem opening the shells. If you offer sunflower seeds to your fella, you might want to unshell a few for them so they don't have to work quite as hard :-) . My guys also love mauling bread stuck between the bars of the cage. Crackers are another favorite, as is cooked rice and pasta. But if you're really into spoiling your buddy, I'd go with the sunflower seeds, LOL!

Sunflower seeds are ok in a pinch but produce is much better (no avocados) hang some lettuce in the cage and that should do nicely.

parakeets they love plain old Ritz crackers.they also like fruits and some vegetables they don't like sunflower seeds though.

mine eats just about anything...his favorite seems to be ravioli, but i would try fruit
