And I want to have a Burlesque/Antiqued type theme. I am getting a Chaise Lounge (not sure about spelling), but I already have many asian inspired objects in my home. I have a huge one bedroom apt, about 950 sq ft (huge for me anyways). I really want a cool place for me to come home too. Got any ideas?

Sounds like you must lean towards the french provincial look/ Alot of decoration and antique in nature. Go with alot of the bold colors and do not be afraid to cross pattern. Good luck!

moulin rouge indeed. the 1920s French/Asian look featured a lot of bold colors, fairly dark overall. Consider hanging fabric on the walls rather than repainting, and all things fringed were very much in vogue at the time. Check out Art-Deco themes on the 'net, the twenties are a great source of inspiration. PS my HOUSE is 800 sq ft, a 950 apt is outstanding.

Go to the library and get some books about historical homes or home decor.....and take notes of what works for you.
