OK, my parents are getting my older sister a 500$ yearbook for her senior year, plus a new ipod nano for her birthday. I asked for the 75$ yearbook and asked if I could get a new ipod too because mine is old (ipod mini) and it feels like my parents are mad at me.

Your older sister is becoming a senior hence entering the last of her school days before possible college. Many people give their kids a senior gift as a reward. Just wait till you become a senior. Sounds like you got more than I ever had anyway.

$500 for a yearbook? That seems a little hard to believe. Anyhow, if that is really true.....both of you sound spoiled rotten.

First of all, what the heck kind of yearbook costs $500.00 ?

You mentioned that the Ipod was for your sister's birthday.
What's yours for? Cause you want one? Cause you didn't ask for the obscenely overpriced book?

Maybe because you already have an ipod and maybe she got better marks. Just because your sister gets doesn't mean you get.

Lots of things in life never seem fair. Maybe they were doing something special for her, as you said this is for her senior year.

I really couldn't say. Just because you buy one child something does not mean the other should instantly get the same everything is judged on its own merit
