Baking soda and warm water. My mother used it everyday. Great for smokers.

Any. They are all basically the same, some take longer and some are quick. Some make your teeth patchy. (think crest whitening strips, like wtf?) You decide.
I suggest that you go to a dentist or a professional teeth whitening place and get the power whitening. It will probably cost over £100 but it is worth it,
Unless you have a lot of patience and straight teeth, do not get trays!!
It also depends on how badly discoloured they are. You might only need a tray or a few applications of something to achieve a few lighter shades. If they are bad, and keep in mind this is usually only if you smoke, are older (like 30+) or eat/drink a lot of staining things (coffee, wine, currys etc) then you should be fine with regular teeth whitening bleach.
Ebay is good. Don't use the toothpastes, waste of money.

Seventy-eight staffers from Consumer Reports test five over-the-counter teeth whitening products for effectiveness and ease of use. A university dental lab also tested the products. Result details are rather skimpy considering the number of testers, but the conclusions reached match those by other reviewers: "Professional whitening" is the most effective method, and the effectiveness of home bleaching kits relates to the length of time the product is in contact with teeth.
Crest Whitestrips emerges as the "best and most consistent whitener, lightening teeth up to three shades," say editors. Some testers report good results with the paint-on gel GoSmile, which at $90 is pricier than the Whitestrips or Colgate Simply White paint-on teeth-whitening gel.
Professional Whitening done by your Dentist is the better treatment to follow but it cost's more. There is some info on that at the following link:http://www.animated-teeth.com/dentist_laser_whitening/a1_professional_teeth_whitening.htm
The whitening compounds and associated equipment (bleaching light or laser) that a dentist uses when performing their in-office teeth whitening treatments are usually purchased from a manufacturer as a system, kit, or even a franchise. As part of their effort to promote both their particular whitening system and also those dentists who have bought this system from them, many manufacturers put on national advertising campaigns. Because of this you may already be familiar with or have a specific question about a particular whitening brand and its equipment. Here is a list of the professional whitening products we discuss on the suggested Web Link above, and links to more information about each of them. (If the whitening system makes use of a bleaching light or laser, we have included the type of light in parentheses next to the product's name.)
BriteSmile ® (gas plasma light/light emitting diode), Zoom! ⢠(metal halide light), LaserSmile ⢠(a Biolase ® laser), LumaArch ⢠(halogen light), Rembrandt ® Sapphire ⢠(plasma arc light), Opalescence ® Xtra ® Boost â¢, Niveous â¢
Good Luck Deciding.

Without a doubt the best results with be at the dentist. You can now buy a kit from Boots, which might be worth a try - it's a lot cheaper.

avoid cigs- they really do stain teeth. Also tea and coffee can too.
Total toothpastes with whitening are good and mouthwashes. If you can afford it, have them whitened professionally like the stars. Avoid sugary foods and acidic foods.
yes i've smoked loads of cigs by the way.

Using salt to brush your teeth and brush your teeth at least twice everyday 3mins. You can also go to the dentist, but that's way more expensive.
