At that age, you want to be most concerned about getting good quality food from all the food groups.

No fast food, deep-fried foods, heavy sugars, etc.

Just good quality, healthy food to help the boy grow strong.

A balanced diet is more important than calorie counting. If he has a big apetite then feeds him lots of healty food. Secondly, if he's a bit chunky make sure he doesn't spend most of his day sat in front of the tv and get him running around playing, as this could have some bearing on his weight. If neither of these seem to be causing a problem, he may naturally be a big kid or have some sort of thyroid problem (it can happen to children).

Its not an issue at that age, not even if he's chubby. Kids are designed to carry a little extra fat that you'd find unacceptable on an adult.
Kids should be eating a well balanced varied diet that contains all of their nutritional needs, worked out over a three day period.
If he eats mostly baked beans and wholemeal bread on day one, mostly fruit and cheese on day two, and mostly yoghurt on day 3 it won't hurt as he's getting a balanced diet over the three day period.
The quality of his food is what matters. They have small stoimachs and shouldn't be given junk food.

You are talking about Winnie The Pooh, written by A. A. Milne and illustrated by E. H. Shepard. These books were first published in the 1920s, and star the familiar characters of Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore, Christopher Robin, and Edward Bear, commonly known as Winnie-the-Pooh.

Try mixing a little horseraddish with a dollop of mash. It adds a bit of a kick but is sure to go down well at your dinner party.

kids are pretty good at that age for knowing when they have had enough food and they are full so as long as it's fresh and healthy and balanced give him as much as he wants. and keep him active.
