No its not wrong. If they are awake then they're awake. What are they supposed to do. Now I wouldn't let them watch say ALL day but hey that's just me. My kids woke up at 730 this morning and are watching right now. Did you watch cartoons when you were a kid? I did. What does you husband feel bad about?..L

Sure having a material inanmimate object is always better to raise you children. Who needs nuture and love of a human being or a parent when you can have the media raise your kids? Just show him this . I am sure your children will grow up to love nd respect you both with all the attention those cartoons teach. Right? Capable of having a relationship with another human being right. Well at least with the TV anyway. That can,t be so bad can it? People don,t really matter any way Right?

A little bit of cartoons is good for children. Watch the content and the amount of time and will be fine. I spent my entire childhood watching carttoons in the mornings with my siblings-now were 24 and 25 and all have bachelor degrees from LSU. Now, my son watches PBS(he's only 10 months) There is a lot of visual and hearing stimulation children can get from monitored t.v.

Hi,
I don't think it's anything to fret about. Children are very impressionable at this age. Most cartoons have a meaning behind their antedotes. Most teach values and how to treat people. Just help them choose the one's that they watch and explain to them what the concepts mean. Television is a great helper at times. Especially when you have housework or a pressing project to finish. Besides sensing your concern for your children they will do fine in life. Don't go into overkill, allow them to make mistakes, that is how they learn. Just instill in them to be good and just human beings and to put the Lord First.
God Bless You All

Boomarang has way better WHOLESOME cartoons the good ole ones. I don't think it's too early. Saturdays are made for maxing and relaxing exspecially if you have a few things about the house you need to get done with NO interruption.

sounds like you are trying to let the tv raise your kids. try disney instead of cartoon network cause i dnt even think that is for kids it is so much language. then give them some time to practice their motor skills or curricular skills you know some games or toys like something to where they wont be so into the tube

Absolutely, turn it on. TV can be a valuable learning tool for children (as long as they are not ignored, and have some bonding time with their parents). Just keep tabs on what they are watching.

That is fine.
Its good in a way. They tend to wake up early and will get used to waking up early. I have a daughter and she always wakes up and goes straight to the tv.
However if you don't like it then tell him that 6am is too early and growing children need more sleep.

i say its ok. most of us did it. i know i did. saturday was our day for cartoons when i was a kid. so we were up at the crack of dawn watching tv. eating our cereal. laying on the floor. they will grow out of it. when my mom got up she would cook a proper breakfast and we would eat a late breakfast, then she would turn off the tv and we would go outside to play. i see nothing wrong with it. if your up with them great.....sit with them. spend that time with them...at least for 1 show anyways. won't be long before your children are teenagers and you won't see them till mid to late afternoon.........on the weekends anyways.
