Why do guys flirt with girls that they have no interest in? I have a boyfriend, and there is this guy who has a girlfriend that flirts with me ALL the time. I'm not sure, but he doesn't seem to have any real interest in me, since he flirts with other girls too and he already has a girlfriend. This isn't the first time this has happened to me, so guys....why do you do it?

One more question also...if a guy does flirt with you even though they dont really LIKE you, what does that mean? Does it mean he finds you attractive or nice, or will he flirt with any girl he sees, attractive or not?

I used to this often before falling in love. My main reasons were:
1) Pride - it is a very important for most of the guys to be seen in the company of many beautiful women. Lots of people will consider you successful for that. It helps rising others opinion about you. But again, it depends on your social group, on its value system.
2) Back-up - a women is better than no women. I may flirt to keep her interest in me, just in case I decide to make it serious
3) Pity - Sometimes I flirted just because I did not have the courage to say "no".
4) Loneliness - The women is a person and maybe I need her just like this. Like a good conversation partner. I often felt this need because I'm not interested in sports, cars and other common talking subjects for men.
I think my flirting was a combination of these 4 reasons. Hope it helps.

Girls like to flirt with other people too. These days, everybody seems to be a cheater. I think that the only people that do not flirt when they have a significant other, are the honest, trustworthy ones. Great question though.

Its simple, I just love to flirt, it makes me feel really good and girls always respond and flirt back, I think though if I had a partner that I totally loved then I probably wouldn't do it as much, if at all.

Your b/f and his friends are "fishing" for poontang, his friend flirts with you to see if something would happen. Take him up on it and he'll hop into your panties and he would not care about his friend, your b/f. same goes for your b/f, he flirts and if some other girl gives it up he'll take it and when you find out he'll say he's sorry, knowing you "love" him and will forgive him. Not all guys flirt, find one that will respect you. A b/f that flirts in front of you does not respect you.

Its the attention seeking ones that need an ego-boost who do that. Remember that something that stands out tends to be considered the 'norm' even if its not. Its just that the good, nice guys who dont engage in this sort of thing dont appear on your radar as they're not doing anything that stands out ey.

It's really the same reason women do it. They might do it differently, but they do it. Women are always concerned about how they look, and that is almost the same thing. They like to attract the attention of the opposite sex.

some guys just trying their luck if they r lucky they might get some 'spare ' gf to have fun with if they fail is ok. pls don think every guy do the same, i m just explaining y they r doin that so don get too serious.
