While in school for hairdressing, we saw lots of dandruff.
We were advised by our state board about sterilizing & we did practice the guidelines.

After shampooing hair, towel dry and apply either Sea Breeze or plain ole Listerine. Makes sure you get it on the scalp at root area & leave it in hair, don't rinse out.
Do avoid using hair spray, gels & conditioners when one has dandruff. You have to get the scalp back to the correct ph balance.
Never use anyone's combs brushes or any utensils. Our hair & scalp is much guarded like teeth, use no ones styling aids but your own.

I do not know how old u r, but if over 21, go buy a can of beer and pour it onto your hair and wrap in a towel and let set for 30 minutes.... And another thing that rids your hair of dandruff is MOUTH WASH..... i had a friend who had dandruff BAD and we used it on hers and it did the trick.... Alot of times you just arent rinsing your hair good enough, or too much conditioner.... Dandruff and dry itchy scalp.... these are cheap and effective means to getting rid of the problem..... best of Luck

You might want to find out what's actually causing the dandruff you are having. It might be what my mama and doctor call "growing dandruff". this is just when your hair is going thru healthy changes, like when the seasons change, you're pregnant, it's just best to keep your hair well conditioned. If it's the other type of dandruff then you should inspect your scalp keep it moisturized or try changing shampoos. make sure you are shampooing vigoriously too!

T-Gel Medicated Shampoo. It works (although it is a little expensive, like 8-10 dollars a bottle)
