We've been talking for about 6 months, pretty hot and heavy. He plans on visiting me in December, but now things are calming down I guess. At this point, should he even bother visiting? Is he just trying to find a nice way of backing out?

Same as any relationship ,they all get comfortable at one point or another. Let him come see you and spark it up again. If he his acting different it may be just nerves about coming to see you. You don't say if you have met other than online but I am going to assume you haven't. The thrill of actually 'seeing' that person for the 1st time is amazing. If things are still not 'hot an heavy' after the visit then you'll know it's a friendship and nothing more. Good Luck and Have Fun!!!!

being comfortable does not mean dead --- it means you are ready for a new level --- and meeting will determine if that will be successful change

no relationship can be hot and heavy forever ---- comfortable may not sound inviting but it can be very satisfying as long as you take the time to reignite your love as often as possible

Calming down is okay. You havent met in person yet? Things could re-heat real quick when you meet. ;)

Are you kidding me? You might as well just give up on dating altogether.
