Just curious really. I love comic books, can't get enough of them. I read almost anything.
Now, I'm smart, funny, nice and reasonably good-looking, in case you think I resemble the comic book guy from the simpsons.
So is a guy who enjoy reading comic books seen as geeky or a turn-off to women?

Just to clarify, that's not all I read. I read crime, thrillers, etc. I even read War and Peace once (my god was that long).

Sure some girls do....but my brother thinks thats me reading a novel makes me a geek... *sigh* where most guys wouldn't date me if I wasn't literate.

Why does it matter? really? Would you stop reading them if chicks would find you less geeky? dude thats sad.. you gotta be true to yourself.

Here's to being white and nerdy (dude you gotta listen to this song by weird al) and women who think comic books are hot!

PS. Watchmen changed my life :)

Jennifer... fellow comic book reader... which a lot of the guys I date think is hot...*shrugs*

I like the Calvin and Hobbes comics if that counts, never been into Spiderman or any of the Marvel stuff though.

I don't think women can have a go at men who like comics, at least not while they continue to watch the likes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street. Now that IS a turn off. :P

I personally don't care. I like dorky guys though. My husband LOVES Star Wars and watches the movies, plays the games and collects the stuff and I love him more because of it. Weird I know. And he too likes comic books, so I see no problem with them. But yeah I'd so most women have a problem with it, they think it shows that you are immature and a dork and they don't like that. Everyone is different though.

Yep, its seen as a geeky hobbie, probably because of the types of people you see on telly into comic books, but then theres always hope isn't there, its like dungons and dragons or whateva the hell it is, was seen as really neirdy then Vin Diesel said he was a big fan and suddenly it was cool. You need to write to the stars and get someone really famous to say comic books are cool!

You're not the dude from "Mallrats", so you may want to go easy on the "I love comic books" admission on the first date.
At least you are reading something.
Liked the Simpson's reference--The Androids Dungeon.
Hey, maybe I watch too much animation!

Depends on the condition of the comic book.
Us girl's don't call them comic books anyhow.
To us they are 'graphic novels' -and the latest thing.

To be honest, yes. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. Keep your hobby, and don't go way out of your way to hide it, but don't publicize it either. Just keep it a little low key.
