Our good works are tainted with sin.
True good works are the result of the Holy Spirit.
Our sinful nature is always attached to anything we do.
Thanks be to God our salvation is not up to our desicion.
The decision has been made by the faith inducing power of God's word in Law and Gospel.
The Law shows us our sin, and the Gospel shows us our Savior.

"Accepting Jesus" is like saying we accept our parents and ask them into our hearts to be our parents.

Our parents were our parents before we had any knowledge of the fact.
Jesus is God without our approval.
Jesus is our God without our approval.
You might reject His gift, but you don't have part in the making or providing the gift.

Much of Protestantism is like Catholicism
They both compromise the cross of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ did the saving.
Jesus came to us .
Jesus took upon Himself our sin.
Jesus submitted to the Law of God perfectly.
Jesus allowed Himself to be tortured.
Jesus laid down His life for all.
Jesus died the death we deserve.
Jesus raised himself from the grasp of death.
Jesus spoke His peace to the disciples who hid in fear.
Jesus sent His Spirit to the disciples to speak of the Christ and Him crucified for all.
Jesus sustains us to this day with His word.
Jesus sustains us to this day through His Body and His Blood.
Jesus will come to us visibly once again to judge the world.
Jesus will take His believers with Him to Eternal Paradise.
Jesus is the subject of the verbs.
Jesus is the doer.

We are the receivers.

Good works are preferred over evil. Good works will not get you to heaven. Only being covered in the blood of Jesus will get you to heaven.

Isaiah 64:6 states our righteous deeds are like filthy rags before a holy and pure God. You can not get into heaven by merit. See Ephesians 2:8-9. The only way one gets there is by accepting Jesus payment for your sins and trusting Him as your Lord and Savior. John 3:16.

there is no heaven. The difference between good works and evil are resolved two ways, in your own heart, and in the eyes of the society you live in

John 14:15 says "IF" you love me keep my commandments we do what He commands "BECAUSE" we love Him NOT in order to be saved. salvation is a gift it IS NOT earned. the outcome, & no all the good works in the universe won't get you to heaven if you don't believe in Jesus, how could they.

You have to believe and accept Jesus and God into your life

Good works: things that helps others
Evil: things done only for yourself
