If Muslims attained a majority in any voting district and elected radical Muslim legislators all hell could break loose. We may find laws being written and passed that would ban all religions except Islam, forbid music, require women to wear veils in public, require study of the Qur'an, a ban on the speaking and writing of English, that sort of thing. If this sounds far-fetched, it is entirely within the realm of possibility. The US could be destroyed from within through the ballot box. The same thing could happen by way of the infiltration of illegal Spanish-speaking Mexican immigrants. The US could lose entire states to Mexico by a popular vote to secede from the Union and rejoin Mexico. While such a vote might be illegal, they would do it anyway, and another civil war would ensue.
The issue of racial and ethnic minorities remaing separate within the US is not a good thing. They would grow in strength and power until they could out-vote mainstream Americans. One indication that this process is already started is the increasing disappearance of English in stores and on packaging. Also, Congress is increasingly voting against English and failing to really do anything at all about illegal immigrants. The process of the destruction of the US is well underway and continuing at a brisk pace.

the problems that (according to the questions asked here...) seem to be occuring in the UK would not happen here in the US.
in the US, if they tried pushing to make it so people couldn't wear crosses or whatnot... then they know that the knife cuts both ways and they would have to dress secularly as well.
what I don't get is why this is a problem in the UK.
