Terrorism, poverty, unemployment and global warming.

i think these are the major issues in this world today

The biggest threat that we have, is the big a** petrol guzzling machines that we constantly drive around in, and our ignorance at ignoring this problem for so long.
For over 25 years scientists have told the general community that when global warming did occur, it would strike with a bang.
In Australia we are facing our hottest summer for many years, and with that comes another disaster FIRE
Global warming is causing our planet to warm up where it should not, and to rain more than is should in areas that dont need it causing major floods,mud slides.
Oh then of course we have the earthquakes and snuami's , volcano's erupting, the list goes on and on.
Most countries have signed the Kyoto agreement except for Australia and the United States of America.
It is time we stood up for our rights, clean air, clean water , a place to call home where ever we might live on this planet.
If we did not have such greed for oil, we would not have the major wars going on and needless and senseless deaths on both sides happening.
It is time to reevalute our lives, and look at what we can do ourselves..walking to work if possible or catching public transport,or driving a much smaller car, car pooling, solar hot water, recycling, not using plastic bags.
We must do something and do it NOW or we will not have a world to worry about
Mother Nature always gets her way, and she has a long memory and will seek revenge , come what may.

Middle east is a biggee. China and Korea are interesting. The U.S. butting into everyone's business and angering the world is a biggee. African leaders killing their continent is tragic. Murderous Islamic fanatics making life scarce grabs one's attention.
Under the radar, communitarianism is being pushed as plans for a one world government nears realization quicker that we think. A little economic collapse and a bit of food shortage, should do the trick. All these things and more. Stay tuned.

I think we have alot of major issues but the most important current ones would be war , global warming and security.

Global warming, stem cell research, the so-called "war on terror," cancer research, aids, other health topics, Iraq, Nukes in Iran and N. Korea, Oil and the increasing price of gas, diminishing civil liberties, mid-term elections, the mess the republican party has gotten the country into, and on and on and on and on ad infinitum.

1. Poverty - third world countries especially.
2. Releasing of Green house gases
3. Ozone layer disapearing
4. Wars & Terrorism
5. sickness & Disease
6. natural disasters maybe?
