its disgusting! we must always put our own people first. Our religion is part of our country, its unfair that we cant express our own religion here, yet that muslim won compensation for not being allowed to express her non british religion?? where are our morals?? if they cant integrate with us then Fuk them!! go home!!

Hold on there! You know, I've just been giving this a lot of thought. What I am wondering now is who is responsible for stirring up all this racial hatred. Jack Straw started the latest business off so is the Government hoping to stir us all up enough so that the blacks will want to leave the Country - so solving some of their problems? Are we all being slowly brainwashed? I am white but some of my friends and acquaintances are Jamaicans, Muslims, Sikhs etc. They are all nice people and provided they treat me okay I treat them the same. Let's all stop and think first before 'jumping on the bandwagon' of hate.

She was awarded some compensation because the grievance procedure had not been properly followed, but she lost her case. If you actually follow the story, it does not seem that anyone's getting away with anything - this now opens the door for other organisations to insist on veils being removed.

Its a case of when in Rome... but unfortunately many people that come to the UK from elsewhere don't seem to think this way. This country is a soft touch and they know it. Milk it for everything they can get and then have the cheek to COMPLAIN about they're rights!.... Give me strength!

She and her sort have learnt that the UK is soft on all issues related to race.
The softness comes from the Christian teachings of tolerance.
The Hindus have suffered at the hands of the Muslims for centuries.
This too is due to the tolerant nature of Hindus.
It is time we gritted our teeth to remove the cancer of Islamic Extremism.

and now she could rip the tax payer off for 250,000 pounds as legal aid.
This woman is taking us for a ride. she knows exactly what she's doing and doesn't care so long as she gets her own way.
These people must learn to conform to local standards when they move about the world, instead of expecting everybody to kowtow to their every whim and stupidity.
Send her home NOW.
BtW. I'm amused at the fact that SHE claims that the mask doesn't interfere with her teaching ability - surely it's her employers or the local education authority who should decide that, not her, unless she has a special dispensation from allah making her the "final court of appeal" and ultimate authority in matters of masked teaching.

I have to say that I understand the blacks having insecurities about racism but the tables have now turned in this country as the whites are now feeling that due to the above, the whites have to "play nice" but now they are left feeling insecure about how they are going to be treated. Seems totally unfair to me that freedom of speech in the UK has gone bang. The UK is (or was) a christian society and now, due to other minority religeons, we are not allowed to practise it freely or show our religeon in the street IE wearing the cross. I bet if we blew up a mosque there would be uproar in the muslim society but are we allowed to biuld a church in say Iraq, Iran?? NO! Double standards here me thinks.

If she was hired while wearing the face covering, then asked to remove it, it is right that she recieved compensation. I think it is reasonable that a language teacher should be expected to show her face, but I also think it is unreasonable for the school to hire someone then ask them to modify their style of clothing.
Am I the only person who can see a reasonable middle ground here?

People from different countries get away with far more than we british can, we are told not to fly our flags, or wear crosses etc, the p.c. brigade are making this country a laughing stock.

I heared about that in one of the news that the flight attendant has to take off her pendant cross reason being it might upset the opposite. I would love to eat Port heaps of Port in Saudi and would have my own piggery there will promise to the King won't sell it to the believers but to the infidels as they call it. Yes I'm afraid the west has to adjust them. I see reporters going to Afghanistan wearing veils and so forth. I hope the west will stick to what they believe in.
