why do people pick their noses?

like these kids on my bus in my skool they pick their noses almost all the time.

To get those buggies that be in their noses. Sometimes it itches too. So the stick their index finger right in their nose and pluck it out. then they act like they don't see you looking and wipe the boogy on their clothes.

it is a good source of protein for growing children, also handkerchiefs are not always accessible and fingers are much more efficient.
