And I don't know why. Literally, somedays I'll be having a great day and then for no reason whatsoever I'll feel this extreme sadness/hopelessness that will make me think stupid things. It seems to come out of no where.
People tell me that I'm "perfect" lots, people tell me that I have a great life. I don't understand.
All I know is that the feelings that I get out of no where really make me feel so miserable - I can't even describe the feeling. It's like I'd rather die then feel like that.
Sometimes I'll be happy for a week or two, then the next week or two I'll be extremely sad, angered, irritated, etc.

sounds to me like bipolar . my friend has bipolar she has lots of episodes with it.
one min she will be happy as anything ( very manic she is ) it's like she will be bouncing off the walls.
then the next few weeks she will be totally depressed and she wont talk to anyone she will just sleep and be anti social.
she also advised me that bipolar disorder is a hard one to detect ,
or you could be just suffering from depression which is aweful thing to deal with,
i had bad depression an anxiety 6 months afer my daughter was born geez i was in a bad way always crying , always having bad thoughts in my head , and it was always thoughts of something bad happening to me or my family , i would do things over and over i told myself if i did not do this something bad would happen , writing this now i feel embarrassed but i know i was not alone , thank goodness i did not have bipolar but i went through 2 years of hell.
i hope you seek help and get things sorted out if you would like to email me and chat i would me more than happy to help you with any questions you may have

Well, it could simply be due to hormonal changes, or perhaps if you are in your teen years, it could be puberty changing your chemicals around. Or it could be something more serious. It could be bi-polar disorder. This is also a chemical imbalance. My best advice to you is to find someone you can talk to about it. Your doctor, a counselor, a family member. You don't have to feel this way. There is help out there for this feeling. Whether it be depression, bi-polar or even just changes in your life causing you stress - there is help. All you have to do is look for it. Good luck and peace.

This is depression. See a doctor and tell him or her how you are feeling. You might need medication for a while and definitely need some counselling. It is no shame at all. I have suffered from depression my whole life.
