Where in the bible does it say, 'If you are too confident that you are going to heaven then you probably won't."?
BTW, I don't think that your opinion is accurate.

So the idea of being taught you will go to heaven if you believe in it has a catch? So the only way to be sure of your reward is not to be sure of that reward? Faith is not real if you have no lingering doubts? Interesting. Next you'll be saying if you are born innocent you have to acknowledge some sin or you can't profit from having given it up. Or that none of this is wisdom if you can actually understand it.

Being so far removed from anywhere that has priests, I always feel like none of them actually believe in Christianity, because I give them the benefit of the doubt and figure they are smarter than that, and they are just using it because it is a respected job and you make your money without really working so to speak, or maybe you really dig helping people, and I'm sure they do a lot of that too. They seem like perfectly intelligent people except for that one thing, that they believe in God and all that.

i am muslim,n i think it's only ur deeds that will decide heaven for u.ur confidence or lack of confidence has nothing to do with this. u don't know what among ur deeds is liked by Allah(God),u just have to follow right path, path u think is right.next is Allah's job to reward u for this.
but without the intentions of hurting some one, i want to add, that as some ppl say "Jesus christ is solely way of salvation for us,or believe Jesus(as son of God) n u will be blessed"
this doesn't make sense to me,how can he remove all ppl sins, how can he bless,if the person himself is a criminal.it means u keep on doing sins,as Jesus(pbuh) is there to remove them.

Where does it say in the Bible " if you are too confident that you are going to heaven then you probably wont".
Our confidence is based solely on the person of Jesus Christ.
Obeying the commandments won't get you to heaven.
God's commandments (Law) shows us our sin.
We need Jesus Christ.
We are all beggars.

The hope that the bible gives for the vast majority of mankind that dies is a Paradise on earth.
"Psalms 37:10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."
For centuries Christendom has taught ideas of men as doctrine and has left the bible. This is why it has introduced teachings like the immortality of the soul [ Ezekiel 18:4 Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die], hellfire [Deuteronomy 18 : 10 There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practice of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, 11 or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. 12 For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you. 13 You should prove yourself faultless with Jehovah your God.] , and the trinity [Isaiah 42: 8 “I am Jehovah. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory, neither my praise to graven images.] It has also tolerated immoral sexual behavior of its clergy by ordaining homosexual priests and covering over the abuse of children [ 1 Corithians 6:9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.] . No, Christendom and its clergy do not represent God or Christ and therefore have a bleak future.

No. Priest are just the same as anybody else. It is all your opinion I have high respect with Priest they have the guts to serve God in the way the mother church has given them orders. We just simply cannot generalise.

Well, the way I see it is no one is so good that they don't need Jesus. Priests included. That is why he sacrificed himself for us. In order to be able to forgive us 24/7/365 because we can't stop sinning as long as we are confined to this world. Anyone who is perfect doesn't need Jesus redemption. Know anyone like that? Not me.

none but the 144,000 chosen ones go to heaven
everyone else has the chance to live on a paradise earth as Jesus taught us to pray for.
our farther which art in heaven
hallowed be thy name
thy kingdom come
they will be done
in earth as it is in heaven
a bit self explanatory don't you think
you are asking for Gods will to be done on earth the same as in heaven, not to go to heaven but for his will to be done here

I do not know about this; I am a muslim. All I know is that there should be no link between the person and Allah. Why do I need to go to someone to confess my sins when he is as much a sinner as myself? When he has nothing to do for me? Forgiveness is to be asked from Allah. Allah is there all the time; we only need to stretch out for him.
