For a SONY DIGITAL HANDYCAM (DCR-TRV410E PAL)/ Digital8, I want its Driver to interface to Laptop/XP platform.

Where can i get the drivers from? I tried to search it on the Sony web site, but they dont have driver for this model ( i suppose). i there any other way to convert the tape recordings into CD/DVD burns?

Well you are attempting to do the same thing what I did with my TRV265E !!

On the contrary just get a Firewire card and install it. You have to use the iLink port thats on the cam with a IEEE 1394 6pin to 9pin connector. Then use Windows Movie Maker to extract the movie or use the software that came with the Firewire card or Sony Handycam. You will end up with a HUGE AVI file so ensure you have a spare 80GB disk.

Then you can use any movie editing software to create your video.
